Builder, building scientist, and your project's biggest advocate.

Raised in regional NSW with old-fashioned country values — honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic — Luke has spent his career building a depth of expertise that very few in this industry can match.

His journey began in structural steel, working on ambitious architectural builds and developing an engineer-level understanding of load paths, tolerances, and structural behaviour. That technical grounding gives Luke an edge most builders never develop: the ability to read a structure, understand its intent, and execute complex details with absolute precision.

Transitioning into carpentry, Luke spent more than 15 years delivering high-end residential projects alongside leading architects and innovative builders — from finely crafted timber cottages to complex concrete structures and highly detailed architectural homes. He built a reputation for thriving on exactly the kind of projects where precision, coordination, and technical problem-solving are non-negotiable.

Driven by a commitment to continual improvement, Luke undertook advanced training in building science and high-performance construction — achieving Certified Passive House Tradesperson accreditation from the Passive House Institute. This credential demands deep technical mastery of thermal performance, moisture control, airtightness, ventilation design, and energy modelling. It is one of the most rigorous construction qualifications available anywhere in the world, and it directly shapes the way every First Light Projects home is built.

Now based on the Central Coast, Luke leads First Light Projects with a focus on craftsmanship, performance, and transparency. His calm, collaborative approach ensures every client feels informed, included, and genuinely supported from the first conversation to final handover.
